Monkeypox

On May 23 2022, EPA invoked the viral emerging pathogen protocol in regard to monkeypox. Under this protocol, Microban 24 products have demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to monkeypox on hard, non-porous surfaces and have been added to EPA’s List Q Disinfectants for Emerging Viral Pathogens. In accordance with the EPA Viral Emerging Pathogen Policy, the following Microban 24 products can be used against monkeypox, when used in accordance with the directions for use.

Microban 24 Sanitizing Spray (EPA reg. # 4091-20-3573) when used in accordance to the Rhinovirus directions for use
Microban 24 Multi-Purpose Spray Cleaner (EPA reg. # 4091-21-3573) when used in accordance to the Rotavirus directions for use
Microban 24 Bathroom Spray Cleaner (EPA reg. # 4091-22-3573) when used in accordance to the Rhinovirus directions for use
